As the “Tail” of last Saturday’s wee hike with MrP is still a few days away, here’s a taster of the scenery from just north of Drumochter.
- A good start – rain along Loch Ericht
- Mr.P all set for action.
- FD early in the day – see the later photo and spot the difference
- The ascent of The Fara
- Nearing The Fara summit
- Fara summit
- The descent of The Fara
- Dirc Mhor
- Lochan na Doire-uaine
- Mr.P at the summit of Meall nan Eagan
- Looking back to Meall nan Eagan
- A tired FD near the end of the day.

If you are on a remote hill like the fara Ken I presume the legs are back in action and doing you proud again.
Good pictures and all the best. bob.

The build up has been working well Bob…though the leg power had dropped out by the second ascent. Made the mistake of going to my “back class” (core stability) on Tuesday followed by an hour on a “spin” bike. That put paid to walking this past weekend
– but things are settling today. As long as I can keep the aches in the gluts and not into the hamstrings and calves then I’m ok to doing about 12-15km and 600+ metres of ascent with no increasing after effects.
