How do People Find You?

26 Jan

I have to admit one of my favourite pastimes on the blog is checking out what people type into their search engine before they are magically transported to the domain of the Fatdog.

Take for example the term “open pit tension cracks”.  Not a term that normally rolls off the tongue but one particularly interested party, through researching that particular topic, ended up on that internationally acclaimed geotechnical journal – “Where the Fatdog Walks”.

Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to google “open pit tension cracks” myself and see how he managed to arrive on the blog.

Nineteen pages of turgid hard rock geology later there it was, the only non-geological reference I’d come across in all that sea of techno-speak…our trip to Lochnagar!

While I was impressed with the illustrious research circles in which we were moving I couldn’t help but feel an immense sense of pride in that, after nineteen pages of relevant subject content, he chose US to read about!

Oddly enough he didn’t leave a comment…shame.

Anyone with any similar oddities?

‘Plant Recognition Software’ brings a steady trickle of visitors as do variations on ‘Beating Tits’ and ‘Fighting Tits’, which I presume leads to a lot of disappointment.
