Lol – The Rezillos was the first thing that popped into my mind when I read that. Remarkable. I must have a brain like a computer.

1978 at the Glasgow Apollo, unless my memory is playing tricks. My first ever proper “gig”, as we used to call them.

    1978. Good grief.

Worrying isn’t it, this time thing. Was on “Beating the Bounds” admitting that I had seen John Martyn play in (I think)early 1975. Wasn’t my first gig either, by a few years (shambles off totally depressed).

1975, eh? Actually, that does make me feel a wee bit better.

(Also – have I got rid of my daft screen name? I saw another button to press on my “wordpress profile”.)

Hmmm…the Clash in 1983, or maybe the Eurythmics the same year. (Odd pair I know.) I’m not prepared to own up to anything before that. Feeling positively youthful now. Mind…would love to have seen the Rezillos.

Meant to say earlier but I worked with a Faye Fife – not of the Rezillos you’ll be disappointed to hear. Bumped into her in M&S on Thursday night and asked if she had ever gained some street cred out of her name. Most she ever managed to get was a free CD when ordering online from a small distributor. The person just couldn’t believe there could be two people with that name. CD was rotten by the way.
