With Mark ably demonstrating his skill photographing a Robin I just had to dig through my photo Archive to dig out my chaffinch. I couldn’t believe the number of colours in the feathers.
So…where were the photos taken? Big clue in the last photo.

once you get an eye for british brids you swiftly realise what rich colouration they share. Well except the LBJ (Little Brown Jobbies)

I must admit I was really surprised when I saw these photos for the first time back home on the computer. I just couldn’t believe the number of colours on the one bird. That’s the closest I’ve been to one…and yes it was me who put the crumbs on the table 😳 .
