A quick look at scenes from yesterday…a great trip into the Mamores with Cap’n Jack and the Fatdog…and the 50th Munro for myself and FD.

Well done that man and that dug!

Cracking pictures. Nice to see somebody getting up a hill in decent weather!

Thanks Scott. This was a great walk from Mamore Lodge. Coire an Lochain (bottom row – left)is a fantastic spot at 750m, lying more or less between the 4 Munros. Thoroughly recommend it.

Congratulations on Munro no. 50! 😀

Impressed you all got up Sgurr Eilde Mor, that’s supposed to be a fairly tricky one I thought. Presumably no need for crampons? Have tried to get to Coire An Lochan before but got beaten back by snow and poor viz. Look forward to seeing the rest of the report 😀

Looks like you had a good day, well done on getting the 50 up. I enjoyed a great camp by the loch a few years back.

We did it from Glen Nevis, a bit of a trek though. By all accounts the paths from the lodge are supposed to be good?

Ken, I’ll get these links right first time one of these days.

Tessa: There was no snow on Sgurr Eilde Mor but the higher ones appeared to still have a covering on the top. To be honest other than a wee bit of a boulderfield and some half hearted crags it was pretty much a 17km dawdle. Needless to say I made heavy weather of the steeper slope at the end…but that was just to gain sympathy 😆 .

Thanks for the congrats Paul …and the link 😀 . The lochan is a beautiful setting and the track from Mamore Lodge is a good one. An easy way to reach the 750m contour.
