Hiatus

14 Apr

Sounds like the onset of an unfortunate disease, but that’s what I’m having just now…a hiatus.  It’s one of these little moments where sod all is achieved as I procrastinate about what happens next…

In fairness the past couple of weeks have been occupied with sorting things out around the house and sorting out a replacement for the “German bobsleigh”.  Today the totally impractical 11 year old BM 5 Series was traded in for an equally impractical 3 year old Hyundai Santa Fe.  The SUV will make parking off little roads easier and the fitting of the optional gun turret should compensate for the drop in overtaking power.  The Fatdog will have a veritable empire of space in the back but will no doubt complain of the lack of amenity compared with her current seat.

Everything has been on hold until the trade in was completed and with the mandatory “go for a drive in the new car” tomorrow, it looks like it will be Thursday at the earliest before myself and the Fatdog get out for some serious play.  No idea where yet – but according to the forecast it is likely to be west.

We’re still no further forward on setting a new target after completing our 50 Munros a few weeks ago so the dawn of a bright new age is still a little way off.

A “tail” in a number of parts is already in the making – once I sort out the 300+ photos!
