Paying Pounds to Pedlars of Pain

28 Sep

Here at The Fatdog Broadcasting Corporation things have ground to a bit of a halt.  Recently the sciatica has taken a firmer hold on the leg muscles so our wanderings have been somewhat curtailed.  😦  Mind you Sunday proved to be a relatively good day in the leg department as J, myself and FD managed  10km around the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park at Aberfoyle.  It was only after 8km the muscles began to seize up…which was an improvement on the weeks before. 😀

After the dire slog up Goatfell on Arran a month ago there have been no hills and a camping excursion with MrP had to be put off once more as there was no guarantee the legs would make it…or whether they’d even bother to turn up.  Time for drastic action.  😯

Hopefully next Monday will give a bit more of an insight into what type of walking I’ll be doing in future, as I head off to see the physio-terrorist.  I haven’t visited one of those pedlars of pain for a couple of years now and I expect it won’t be any cheaper than it was the last time.  A couple of years ago it cost a fortune: physiotherapists, masseurs, masseuses and chiropractors…and I’m still crocked.  😆

Will I be luckier this time?

Of course I will!  😀

Physios: you’ve got to love ’em. (Or else.) Let us know how you get on – in your usual painstaking 🙂 detail.

I will give a blow by blow account MrP…or as close as is decently possible. 😀
