You cannot be serious…!

29 Sep

Just noticed this article on the Beeb’s web site…

I mean…what self respecting, jack booted, far right political party could possibly hope to be taken seriously mincing rallying to the sound of “Mamma Mia”.  It’s not even taken seriously as a pop tune…is it?  Please tell me it isn’t?  😯

It`s a well known fact that politicians ( if you can call these bampots politicians ) haven`t a clue about music.Remember Ronald Reagan entering to the sound of Born in the USA not knowing it was an anti Vietnam war song ?
I still have recurring nightmares about Mandelson,Prescott et al singing and clapping along to some 90`s popular music dirge.!

It’s probably a cultural thing. Politicians only respond to the first few words of a sentence (mainly because there’s never anything that’s hard to answer in those first 3 words) and generally ignore the rest. No surprise they pick the wrong songs for their wee bit of triumphalism. I seem to recall some party using “Things can Only get Better” …that worked then! 😀

Must have a gander on Youtube for the clip of Neil Kinnock walking backwards into the sea during a photoshoot. That made me laugh.
You wouldn`t catch William Hague putting himself in a position that would make him look a laughing stock 🙂

Given that the new leader of the Labour Party resembles (facially) Wallace from “Wallace and Gromit” I think we’ll have a few “cheesy” moments to look forward to.

W&G were always good for a laugh. 😀 …so Ed Millipede should provide us with a modicum of entertainment.
